Instinct AI Agent Introduces Group Chat Functionality for Users and Friends

Oct 5, 2026

AI Summary

Instinct has launched a new feature allowing its AI agent to be added to group chats, even if friends do not have an account. This development aims to facilitate planning and coordination among users, enhancing competition with other AI services like Meta's Muse.

Instinct, valued at $10 billion, has expanded its AI agent's capabilities to include group chats.
Users can add the AI agent to group chats for tasks such as travel planning and event organization, regardless of whether their friends have Instinct accounts.
The feature is currently available to early access users, with plans for broader rollout in the near future.
Instinct's founder, Noah Shinn, emphasized privacy measures, stating that users' personal agents will require permission before interacting with group agents.
The group Instinct operates separately from personal accounts, ensuring user data remains secure and private.
This launch positions Instinct in competition with other AI services, particularly Meta's Muse, which lacks group chat functionality at this time.
